The quarter finals and semifinals were played during the third tournament day. At the men’s singles semifinals third seeded Raul Must defeated Taufiq Hidayat Akbar from the Italian team 21-13, 14-21, 21-9 and will face fourth seeded Ville Lång in the final game. In FIC 2009 Raul Must reached 5/8-place. At the semifinals Ville won Italy’s Wisnu Haryo Putro 17-21, 21-6, 24-22. Must’s current world ranking is 49th and Lång’s 57th.

Anastasia Prokopenko from Russia and Karin Schnaase from Germany are the women’s singles finalists. Schnaase, who’s current world ranking is 59th, won France’s Perrine Lebuhanic 18-21, 21-18, 21-14 and will face Anastasia Prokopenko from Russia at the final game.

Russia’s Andrey Ivanov and Andrey Ashmarin defeated Taufiq Hidayat Akbar and Wisnu Haryo Putro from the Italian team and will face tomorrow the first seeded French pair Sebastien Vincent/Laurent Constantin. In their semifinal match Vincent and Constantin won Tuomas Palmqvist and Jesper von Hertzen from Finland 21-15, 21-15.

The finalists of the women’s doubles are the first seeded Barbara Matias and Elisa Chanteur from France and young Finnish pair Mathilda Lindholm, 14 years, and Jenny Nyström, 16 years.

The mixed doubles final will be a match between the Danish first seeded pair Mikkel Delbo Larsen/Mie Schjott-Kristensen and Russia’s fourth seeded Andrey Ashmarin/Anastasia Prokopenko. Delbo Larsen and Schjott-Kristensen beat Finland’s Noora Virta and Eetu Heino whereas the Russian pair defeated a Finnish/Estonian pair Marko Pyykönen and Karoliine Hõim. In FIC 2008 the Danish pair reached the second position.
